Public bug reported:

Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04

libqca2-plugin-ossl:
  Installed: 2.0.0~beta3-2
  Candidate: 2.0.0~beta3-2
  Version table:
 *** 2.0.0~beta3-2 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I expected packages to install. When I try to do so via apt-get install
I get:

dpkg: error processing package libqca2-plugin-ossl:amd64 (--configure):
package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should
 reinstall it before attempting configuration
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I have also been experiencing other weird errors with programs such as
Kdenlive.
