The issue is not fixed for me either as of the Gutsy beta. If I try to
set a shortcut to use the Windows/Super key, it just sets the shortcut
to be SuperL and ignores whatever else I press (so it's treated as a
normal key instead of a modifier). In case it's relevant, I'm using a
Dell Vostro 1400, which is supposedly hardware identical to the
officially supported Inspiron 1420's, so I would guess they have this
issue as well. I haven't tried selecting a different keyboard layout,
but there's no generic "Dell Laptop" option, only specifically Latitude.
Maybe I'll try that later. In any case it should work out of the box.
