Public bug reported:

This is different and not a duplicate of bug 1515977
This is clearly misbehavior
Unsure if this might effect other similar devices.

Repro
1) device is freshly booted it is in landscape orientation
2) setup with bt devices, get into window mode, connect to hdmi
3) device on remote screen is still in landscape , the unity8 billboard "you
are connected to a monitor" is in portrait
4) unplug hdmi cable
expect the ui to appear on the device in landscape mode, but ends up rotated to
portait

interesting thing is, reconnecting the hdmi cable will result in the
properly oriented ui on the remote screen again...but will then always
remain in portrait on the device screen.
