Public bug reported: This is different and not a duplicate of bug 1515977 This is clearly misbehavior Unsure if this might effect other similar devices.
Repro 1) device is freshly booted it is in landscape orientation 2) setup with bt devices, get into window mode, connect to hdmi 3) device on remote screen is still in landscape , the unity8 billboard "you are connected to a monitor" is in portrait 4) unplug hdmi cable expect the ui to appear on the device in landscape mode, but ends up rotated to portait interesting thing is, reconnecting the hdmi cable will result in the properly oriented ui on the remote screen again...but will then always remain in portrait on the device screen. ** Affects: canonical-pocket-desktop Importance: High Assignee: kevin gunn (kgunn72) Status: New ** Affects: qtmir (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Affects: qtubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Changed in: canonical-pocket-desktop Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: canonical-pocket-desktop Assignee: (unassigned) => kevin gunn (kgunn72) ** Also affects: qtmir (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: qtubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: qtmir (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: qtubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1532978 Title: N7 rotates to portrait on unplug of hdmi when in window mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-pocket-desktop/+bug/1532978/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
