This is a little embarrassing, but I have now come to the conclusion that there is some error in my printer. I did try ubuntu 15.10, but then it occurred to me that I also should try older ubuntus, so I downloaded 12.04 and got the same result.
I then got my sons macbook once more and the printer failed yet again. This has taken some time due to a tight time schedule in the new year. I am sorry for this. Btw: the printer still works under windows 7, but even then there is some glitches, I have to press the paper feed button from time to time etc. I don’t know what I should do with my bug report, retract or mark as solved? Thanks for the help. I have ordered a new printer (repairs are way to costly in Norway) Yours truly Bjørn Forbord On 03. jan. 2016 18:22, Pascal De Vuyst wrote: > In Ubuntu 15.10 please provide your > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems#CUPS_error_log and > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems#USB_printer_does_not_print_or_prints_garbage > -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1529458 Title: ubuntu 14.04: Epson Stylus Photo 2100 "missing print filter" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gutenprint/+bug/1529458/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
