** Description changed: Binary package hint: compiz UI response on Firefox (within rendered web pages) including text selection is severely impaired on Gutsy Gibbon Beta 1 w/ compiz. This does not occur when the Firefox window is maximised. It seems to be unrelated to the rendered web page. Behaviour under metacity is as expected. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch Firefox. 2. Visit any page. 3. Press F11 (or View -> Full Screen) 4. Try selecting text or placing the cursor in a text-area (if available). ACTUAL RESULTS Text selection performance, and/or other rendered HTML content (such as javascript/css menus etc.) appear after a noticeable lag. EXPECTED RESULTS - Immediate performance, on par with that experienced under Metacity (i.e. + Immediate UI response, on par with that experienced under Metacity (i.e. without compositing and effects)
