btw. There is no such thing as a Workstation repository in Ubuntu. So I
have to install from VMWare.com

Some more information.

According to Philipp (Andreas) Baer in his blog he mentiones changes to the
Linux kernel
("As network stack changes were introduces in linux kernel 2.6.21/2.6.22, the
vmware modules currenlty refuse to compile...",
http://npw.net/2007/05/17/vmware-workstation-60-on-linux-2622/)

His patch does not work however (despite the praise in the blog).

My problem lies in the vmmon (virtual machine monitor).

As VMware does not have any indication on their web and it works on 7.04
I am certain, it lies within Ubuntu Gutsy.

How can I produce more information or compile the vmmon?

Thanks
