Public bug reported: grep Broken /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log contains a very long list of packages which I hope I do not have to remove them one by one. I kept trying to use the packagemanager to fix broken packages, before each upgrade attempt, but although it said it fixed the broken packages, it actually did not help. The upgrade kept failing. I have the 32bit version of Ubuntu14.04.
I attached the lon output of cat /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log Thank you for any help or suggestions, Cristian ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: ubuntu-release-upgrader-core 1:0.220.8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-76.120-generic 3.13.11-ckt30 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-76-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.19 Architecture: i386 CrashDB: ubuntu CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Sun Jan 24 08:39:20 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2012-08-12 (1259 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: ubuntu-release-upgrader UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2016-01-24 (0 days ago) mtime.conffile..etc.update.manager.release.upgrades: 2016-01-24T08:06:30.126397 ** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug dist-upgrade i386 trusty ** Attachment added: "output of cat /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1537462/+attachment/4555584/+files/out.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1537462 Title: upgrading from 14.04 32-bit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1537462/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
