*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 524407 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/524407
For the sake of completeness, the point is, that we're talking about a hdd with no mounted partitions. As far as I understand it, any data, which might be in memory needs to be flushed before unmounting (after all you don't loose data when disconnecting an unmounted usb flash drive). Anyhow, this is definitively a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/524407, which contains also a reference to an upstream report. So marking this one accordingly. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 524407 hibernating wakes up sleeping harddrives -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980307 Title: Hibernate causes an unmounted hard drive in sleep mode to spin up To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/980307/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
