Public bug reported:
Upgrading ubiquity to the newest (2.18.8.11) could fail to install in EFI system. Installation is successful, but it would create a "grub" folder under EFI/boot instead of "ubuntu", hence dropped into grub shell right after booting. Downgrading to the 2.18.7 (with adding a "flush=True" in /usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity around line 425) would work well. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1540415 Title: Ubuntu trusty failed to install in EFI system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1540415/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
