Hi,
I am trying to install Ubuntu 14.04.04 and I observed that same problem appears.

Below are the observations:

1. If we create PRePboot ,swap and / after setting up partitions we get
the error "Failed to remove conflicting files. The installer needs to
remove operating system files from the install target, but was unable to
do so. The install cannot continue".

2. If we create only swap and / after setting up partitions we get the
error "No PowerPC PReP boot partition is found", if we still continue
the installation, installation will be successful but system will not be
able to bootup as there is no "boot partition".
