** Description changed:

The Xenial server installation iso (at least as of 2016-02-22) doesn't
contain the zfs-utils package, so the user can't prepare his/her disks
  manually for ZFS during installation.

While installing ZFS may not be something to be done through the
installer allowing an (advanced) user the option to pop to a console and
configure ZFS nonetheless seems like a good idea (for example as it will
allow installing root on ZFS, see e.g. https://github.com/zfsonlinux
  /pkg-zfs/wiki/HOWTO-install-Ubuntu-16.04-to-a-Native-ZFS-Root-
  Filesystem).

Currently I do see a btrfs-tools udeb package in /pool/main on the iso,
  but no zfs-utils package.

- As a side note, the zfs kernel module is included in the iso, so running
- modprobe zfs works, a parted udeb is available, so we're more than
- halfway there ;-).
