I think this is more of an answer request (answers.launchpad.net), but
I'll reply here.  I'd say you're right that this is more of a bug in
trying to play incomplete bittorrent files than in Amarok itself.  How
can Amarok know whether the file it's about to look at is a valid mp3
file (or other)?  The correct behavior would probably be to only scan
the completed music files, by configuring Azureus to download files to
one directory and then move the completed downloads into another, which
is scanned by Amarok.  Maybe "~/Azureus Downloads" to ~/Music or
something of that sort.

Is that the workaround you were looking for?
