Hm. There was a problem with an earlier version when Xgl would be loaded before 3d acceleration was set up - your problem may be this. On the other hand, the fglrx drivers have very bad performance when using Xgl and not using a compositing window manager (such as Compiz).
If you don't want to use Compiz (or the compositing features of Kwin, I suppose), then Xgl is probably not very useful for you. Can you attach the output of running "ls -lah /etc/X11/Xsession.d"? ** Changed in: xserver-xgl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium Assignee: (unassigned) => Chris Halse Rogers (raof) Status: New => Incomplete -- Xgl crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138398 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
