Public bug reported: this is similar to bug 313173 that was said to be resolved. It is not resolved attempt to set up a networked printer between 2 Dapper machines and no matter what you do it will not go. It will ask over and over for a password but no one seems to know what this is.
If you want kubuntu to help small business this can not happen. I found an article by a kde developer for cups that says some functionality was taken out of Dapper that would solve this problem. I fixed it on my own machine so I know a fix exists. Read his article please. http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/2138 There was no reason to put us through this listen to the developers. This is the microsoft problem they do not listen to the developers. http://dot.kde.org/1149158725/1149176458/ I would love to hear back on this issue. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Unconfirmed -- network printer auto-discovery https://launchpad.net/bugs/51542 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
