Tried it in Gutsy Beta (which is older than your patch). BTW, even though it started in 1280x1024, I had the correct option already configured, so System > Preferences > Screen Resolution showed 1680x1050 (that is more than acceptable to me, no xorg.conf fiddling anymore).
I attach ddcprobe's output and a long tail of Xorg.0.log (with video modes info). Sadly, xresprobe's output was empty (I'm running the driver chosen by the livecd which is radeon, perhaps I'll try it with fglrx next time... ** Attachment added: "ddcprobe's output" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9654005/ddcprobe.txt -- Dell 2005fpw lcd defaults to 1280x1024 instead of its native resolution of 1680x1050 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/73004 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
