Hm, so while in Xenial we did move to os-prober 1.70 (the Debian bug was closed by 1.68) it seems the check for it might be too late (50mounted- tests sound like a place that will never be reached as any attempt to mount the extended partition will be unsuccessful, of course *after* all the scary messages emitted during the mount attempts).
I believe the following addition directly in os-prober will do the trick. At least it seems to be good in local testing. ** Patch added: "skip-msdos-extpart-sooner.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1374759/+attachment/4592411/+files/skip-msdos-extpart-sooner.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1374759 Title: >>>WARNING<<< Wrong ufstype may corrupt your filesystem, default is ufstype=old To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1374759/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
