Julian Andres Klode, thanks for commenting to this. It appears that Won't Fix would work better here, given it's a live issue that would help folks if implemented, but it's not going to happen via downstream maintainership, given the previously mentioned downstream scope. Also, the stated WORKAROUND here unfortunately is buy different hardware.
