I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say "THANKS!" However, the spirit of the bug remains..... the pcitutils database quickly falls out of date and there is no approved way of updating it. Running update-pciids works perfectly, and voids /var/lib/dpkg/info/pciutils.md5sums .
Is there hope for getting an automatic update tossed into a dpkg- reconfigure of the package? Otherwise I fear for Hardy Heron we will open a new bug of the exact same text.
