I just installed the latest daily ISO for Ubuntu. Immediately after installation, the command "locale" shows the following:
LANG=en_NZ.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_NZ:en LC_CTYPE="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_TIME="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_NAME="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_NZ.UTF-8" LC_ALL= Which is more or less what I'm wanting. This leads me to think that the problem may be with the way I installed this instance of Xubuntu in the first place (from ubuntu-core, if that's relevant). Time for a reinstall, I think. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1562279 Title: Can't set en_NZ locale To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-pack-en-base/+bug/1562279/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
