I see my status as incomplete and the bug will expire in 55 days.
I did my best to give you the required information but, as I already said, I'm 
stuck on a part of it, w/ dependencies issue.

On top of that, I gave some kind of "back door answer" saying that this bug is 
also present on release 14.04 
w/ a different kernel from 16.04 which was the question.

And this is the same situation on Asus laptop PCs, so I think it's
general

I hope you'll remove this incomplete status in order that this bug is
taken into account and treated normally because wifi is essential on
laptops.

I'm willing to buy 10 PCs for my IT club to promote Linux, but if wifi
doesn't work, I'm afraid the students will stay w/ W10 ...
unfortunately.
