Public bug reported:

Hello,

When I install Ubuntu 7.10, install all the updates and start Firefox it
will run fine.

Now when I go to
System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects
And select : none

I can no longer start firefox, it only shows up for a moment in Gnome-panel-
'Starting.... ' then the button disappears from panel and nothing happens.

When I select Normal for visual effects, it works again... I am able to start
open office, geany, kompozer or whatever when the effects are set to none.

I am using the beta version of 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) with all the updates
installed
at this time. Also have this problem with fresh firefox (no add ons or whatever)
