Public bug reported:

OS version:

Linux Mint 17.3, Linux Kernel 3.19.0-58-generic, all update options
ticked and applied.

Desktop version:

Mate 1.12,

Software object version:

Mintmenu 5.6.6.

Mintmenu freezes, and cpu fans starts spinning, when open, and right
clicking and adding programs to mate-panel.

I exspected the Menu to act normally, without start freezing, when
adding things to the mate-panel.

The problem is consistent, and happens everytime I add programs to
panel, when right clicking a program from the Menu.
