I tried removing postgres-xc and the system reported that it wasn't installed. I then tried installing it (to see if installing it would overwrite a corrupt failed install with working files), but this failed with "Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages".
Following reading this post: http://askubuntu.com/questions/223237 /unable-to-correct-problems-you-have-held-broken-packages I ran `sudo apt-get update`. The problem no longer occurs on reboot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1187550 Title: package postgres-xc (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postgres-xc/+bug/1187550/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
