http://www.mail-archive.com/tinycc-devel@nongnu.org/msg00228.html seems to be discussing the same problem, and there's a suggested patch but it's corrupted by the mail archive. I think http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/tinycc-devel/2005-09/txtJuEgJiyPEC.txt is the same patch. Perhaps someone can give it a go and then get it applied at the relevant place?
