Hi Bill
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. I couldn't reproduce this bug though, in compiz as in my normal desktop
the desired number of workspaces are maintained, no matter how many times or
different combinations (normal effects, extra, custom) i try.
Could you please attach a screencast so we can see the bug in action?.
