Not sure if it's the same problem, but if so, BOINC is triggering it, too. GPU is enabled, so that might be related to the video observation above. Not sure how to include the diagnostic information if that will help, but right now I'm going to reboot and confirm that the fresh boot is normal.
Oh yeah. I should note that I just upgraded to 16.04 this morning and BOINC has never had memory problems on this machine before this.
