Public bug reported: After installing Ubuntu 7.04 and doing a dist-upgrade, many of my fonts, but not all of them, do not render italics.
In any program, including dialogue boxes for the Gnome interface and charmap, the italic versions of many fonts don't display at al. They display the empty squares instead of letters. This is for the Latin encoding of "Bitstream Vera Sans" and "Sans", among other fonts. Some fonts do display italics properly, though, it seems completely arbitrary. I'm not sure what specific action caused this, but when installing Ubuntu 7.04 these fonts did display properly. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some fonts not rendering italics at all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
