OK, this seems to be due to an interaction with the bcm43xx driver. If I do a "sudo modprobe -r bcm43xx" before upgrading or doing "sudo dpkg- reconfigure network-manager", then everything is OK.
I still can't get any useful info on what exactly is borking when bcm43xx interacts with a network manager restart, but that seems to be the issue. -- [gutsy, ppc] package network-manager-openvpn 0.3.2svn2342-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148199 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
