Public bug reported: In an email with a URL in it, the URL is highlighted as usual, and the usual copy and open choices appear. The copy choice works. The open choice, however, silently does nothing. No output on stderr, either.
Found problem: fiesty->gutsy upgrade messed with "prefered browser" in gnome-control-center and it was lanuching a non-existent command. The fix is to set it back to firefox. The question is, why did the upgrade mess with it at all? cat /etc/lsb-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=7.10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=gutsy DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu gutsy (development branch)" uname -a Linux goshawk 2.6.22-12-generic #1 SMP Sun Sep 23 18:11:30 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux firefox --version Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6, Copyright (c) 1998 - 2007 mozilla.org evolution --version GNOME evolution 2.12.0 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gutsy: evolution "click to open link" does nothing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149231 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
