The network-manager 1.2 package seems to cause different symbol exposure in networkmanager-qt which caused the broken 15.08.0-0ubuntu1.2 package in bug #1569674 I'm still investigation where that exactly comes from, but building networkmanager-qt against xenial-release works fine.
