I have experienced this behavior on two separate PPC G4 (32bit) machines, both running Ubuntu Mate 16.04 (Linux 4.4.0-22-powerpc-smp ppc). FF version 45.0.2+build1-0ubuntu1 worked, then after update to version 46.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.16.04.2, FF crashes on startup as noted in previous posts.
