In short, yes. Internal BCM5880: 16.04 kernels 4.2, 4.4, 4.6 do not work (xhci_hcd error) 14.04 kernel 4.2 does not work
only 14.04 kernel 3.13 works However, on all above versions, external USB SCRx31 card reader functions normally.
