My workaround is to put `sudo apt-get install -y virtualbox-guest-utils` in my provisioning, and the steps to start are:
1. vagrant up (which will fail at the end) 2. vagrant provision 3. vagrant reload Also I had to add `config.vm.synced_folder ".", "/vagrant/"` explicitly -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1565985 Title: vagrant vb ubuntu/xenial64 cannot mount synced folders To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-images/+bug/1565985/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
