Interestingly, I can't currently reproduce this. (At the moment I have xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.1.1-0ubuntu5 installed.) Dunno whether that means it's been fixed by some change in the driver or if the bug has just gone into hiding (it was always intermittent)...
