Public bug reported:
On the desktop there is the entry "open terminal" in the context menu, but I expected "open terminal here". Therefore the terminal will be opened with the home directory as its working directory. For me this behavior seems to be utterly illogical. I would rather like it to be opened with the desktop directory as its working directory. If someone wants the home directory, there are already some options: * add a terminal starter to the starters bar * use CTRL+ALT+t * open the file manager (home), then "open terminal here" * Dash "ter" Ubuntu 16.04 (after upgrading from 14.04) German language pack ("Desktop" is named "Schreibtisch") Desktop environment Unity ** Affects: nautilus-open-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1591476 Title: Desktop vs. home directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus-open-terminal/+bug/1591476/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
