Public bug reported: Instructions from snapcraft.io (and what makes sense from an user perspective):
1. Install hello from the stable channel: $ snap install hello Name Version Rev Developer Notes hello 2.10 20 canonical - 2. upgrade to the beta channel $ snap install hello --channel=beta error: cannot install "hello": snap "hello" already installed -> This should switch to the beta channel, and install the latest "hello" snap published there. People for now have to: $ snap remove hello Done $ snap install hello --channel=beta Name Version Rev Developer Notes hello 2.10.1 29 canonical - to get this working.
