@Stephen, I can confirm that the issue may be caused by the old (manual) /usr/local installation of the libraries as @Sebastien Bacher suggested in #7 Once, I've removed them, `ldd /usr/lib/upower/upowerd` finds libusbmuxd.so.4 in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (previously, it tried to find libusbmuxd.so.2 (old) unsuccessfully).
That is the issue ("/usr/lib/upower/upowerd: error while loading shared libraries: libusbmuxd.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory") can be fixed if packaged versions of libusbmuxd.so* from /usr/lib/ are used instead of old versions from /usr/local. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575260 Title: Failed to start Daemon for power management.
