@ Joseph Salisbury (jsalisbury), I have been trying to think.
- I don't think it helps with a new kernel, because Lubuntu desktop of the corresponding daily-live iso file works (can identify the drive via that USB 3 adapter). See post #4. - It would be very hard for me to create an alternate iso file with the ultimate upstream kernel. I still think that the bug is located in partman, or some related tool, that should identify connected drives. Of course I may be wrong, and I will continue testing the current daily alternate iso files. I can also try Ubuntu Server. This way I will be getting new kernel versions ... Anyway, I will write a new comment, when I have new information about this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1596281 Title: the target drive is not found when connected via USB 3 while installing Lubuntu alternate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1596281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
