I could reproduce this problem with ekiga 2.0.9. The problem is solved in ekiga
2.0.11, but the upgrade to 2.0.11 has been "hanging" in update-manager for more
then a week. It turned out there is a dependency problem: libopal-2.2.0 was
installed on my system, but the new ekiga depends on libopal-2.2. However,
libopal-2.2 conflicts with libopal-2.2.0.
I was able to upgrade using the force version function in Synaptic, which
removed libopal-2.2.0 and installed libopal-2.2. After this the undefined
symbol problem was solved.

** Changed in: ekiga (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Confirmed
