Public bug reported: Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Release: 16.04
scrub: Installed: 2.6.1-1 Candidate: 2.6.1-1 Version table: *** 2.6.1-1 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status scrub -X = scrub -Xr The most recent version of scrub I can find that does not force --remove is 2.4.1. At least since 2.5.2 this `scrub -X` defaults also to -r. Since there is no option to negate the -r, I believe this is a bug. If, for some reason this is a desired feature (and it certainly is not desirable to me), then it should at least be documented in the man page.
