Linux 2.6.22.9 does not have this bug. Linux 2.6.22.9 with 2.6.22-13.40's orinoco_cs.c does have this bug. So, I'm pretty sure that the bug is in orinoco_cs.c.
At this point, I don't think the fix is as simple as what David suggests, but I'm still in the process of trying to understand the situation.
