You have been subscribed to a public security bug by Marc Deslauriers 
(mdeslaur):

CONDITION:
  settings > keyboard > hotkeys > next source: Caps Lock
  # suppose num lock can be effected too
  # Mod2+Caps Lock or Caps Lock doesnt matter

HOWTO:
  1. lock screen with super + l
  2. press caps lock then unity will blink and you will see desktop for a half 
a second or so. on that period do clicks anywhere in window. on success unity 
lock screen wont reappear and you will be inside.

BTW:
  sometimes it works from 1st try, sometimes need some pron with clicking
  after i done it on working machine i retried on virtualbox fresh installed 
without any encryption. Works too.
  i use hp probook 450 g1 hasswell. graphic card is intel builtin.

EXPECTED:
  on pressing caps lock next source switch
