Well, this 4.8-rc1 doesn't have CONFIG_VIRTUALIZATION so it's not very useful for a compute node kernel ...
I reverted to 4.2. Can you please build a kernel with CONFIG_VIRTUALIZATION and CONFIG_KVM ?
