When you enter the key does it select a process with that character anywhere it
is name? For example I have the following processes:
bash
bluetooth-applet
bonbo-activation-server
checkgmail
compiz
compiz.real
dbus-daemon
gconfd-2

If I'm looking for the gconfd-2 and start typing 'g' it selects
checkgmail with the first character because it is searching for that
character sequence anywhere within the process name, further entering a
'c' to have gc it jumps down the gconfd-2.

Is this what you are seeing?
