Public bug reported:

1. Plug in the logitech web camera express (older version).

2. Check if the camera is talking to the kernel it is:
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 046d:0840 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Express

3. Launch ekiga(gnome meeting) it works.

4. Launching mplayer, kmplayer or any other frontend on mplayer. As
kmplayer in this case following commands:

mplayer -wid 58720493 -slave -vo xv,sdl,x11 -ao alsa, oss, sdl, arts -framedrop
-vop pp=lb -contrast 0 -brightness 0 -hue 0 -saturation 0 -tv
noaudio:driver=v4l:device=/dev/video0:input=0:width=32:height=32 -slave
-nocache -quiet 'tv://' -identify

Resulting Bug:
Causes the camera to show green, pink, red dots etc. It looks like heat
movement instead of the object on screen.

Resulting Error Output:
(As long as in play mode error will scroll (from command line or kmplayer:

ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argument
ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argument
ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argument
ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argument
ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argument
ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argument
ioctl mcapture failed: Invalid argumen

Temporary solution:

6. Switching kmplayer to another frontend such as xine fixes the issue.
