Ok, even the 4.4 kernel exhibits that behavior. Using the keyboard to switch off wireless activates BT adapter. In my case, even not activating it again, the wifi is on and both (BT and wifi) works as expected. Except I cannot receive files from my phone, only send (that is a separate issue, I think).
