Ok. It's a Samsung C460FW (standalone colour laser multi). Like I said, 14.04 would see it as soon as I opened xsane. I would be offered the choice of the Samsung or the local Canon. As soon as I moved to 16.04, it no longer sees the local Canon (separate bug), so it would have been nice to have been able to use the Samsung instead, but it is no longer visible. Now I have to start a Windows box to be able to scan.
Incidentally, the Ubuntu box can still use the printer as before. Just cannot scan. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1615393 Title: 16.04 sane no longer sees network scanner To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1615393/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
