Dear Larry and Team Thanks for the tips. Here are what I was doing:
1. I did put the X11 App back on the desktop. It was my mistake in not understanding the Unity 8 desktop and Scope. Therefore, there should be no bugs here. (I use mostly kubuntu on my 2 notebooks for the past 8 years, and I am not familiar working with Unity.) 2. Under BQ M10, I found 2 keyboard setup: One for virtual (screen) and another one for external keyboard. Once I paired up the external mouse and keyboard (bluetooth ones), I saw, under Settings, a setup for different keyboard layout for external keyboard. First time, I looked at the setting, there was no default keyboard setup; even we knew it should be US keyboard layout. I added US keyboard layout and another one for my local (Thai) input. (There were a long list of available external keyboard adding.) However, I did not know how to switch between different keyboards, so I tried ALT-shift and CTRL-shift and even plain CTRL. During the trial, I noticed later that the X11 App disappeared from the desktop. Libreoffice and Firefox crashed upon the external keyboard maneuver.
