You seem to be trying to upgrade an existing installation that is in an
ext2 partition ( which you shouldn't be using ) and it is corrupt.  You
should either fsck this partition to repair it before attempting to
reinstall, or better yet, have the installer format it using ext4
instead of the deprecated ext2 filesystem.
