Since my last comment, I have been trying the modesetting driver periodically and it seems that a fairly recent update has fixed the screen wrapping I was seeing on my Lemur. My operating system is still Xubuntu 16.04. I have been using the modesetting driver since last night and I have seen no further screen wrapping. Thank you devs.
